Honoring 15 Years
with 150K

Since 9/11, over 26,000 military members have died while on duty of which more than 5,000 were KIA combat deaths. We continue to lose over 15 Veterans per day to suicide. Left behind are 150K+ Gold Star Family Members and Survivors.

This year, on the 15th anniversary of John's passing, Lisa is embarking on a challenging journey - the 150 KM Mt. Rainier Wonderland Trail.

Since Lisa co-founded wear blue: run to remember following John's death in Afghanistan on 25 August 2009, our organization has grown into a national nonprofit, dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of the American military.

We strive to create a healthy, ready, and resilient military family, enhancing community, wellness, respect, grit, and excellence in everything we do.

The Impact

Lisa's upcoming challenge on the Wonderland Trail is a living testament to wear blue's mission. It symbolizes the journey of growing through grief, the power of active movement, and the strength found in an informed, supportive community.

Your contribution will make a significant difference by:

Supporting Gold Star and Surviving Families
through our Gold Star Race Program, providing them with the resources and community they need to navigate their loss.

Sustaining Communities across the nation for a year, fostering camaraderie, wellness, and remembrance for our military families, veterans, and those who honor and grieve the loss of our fallen heroes.

Together, we can build resilience, encourage healthy lifestyles, and create opportunities to honor and remember the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much.
